Counseling vs. Coaching

Coaching is now a big thing and overshadows counseling in a lot of peoples opinions. Between the two, Counseling is the only one with a governing body requiring to have a license.

The main different between Counseling & Coaching is that Coaching focuses on the present actions to reach the future goal. While Counseling incorporates working on traumas to reach goals, its focus is more on the past and its effect on the present.

Counseling is more of a "why" or "how did I get here", whereas coaching is more of "I want to achieve this goal, how can I get there?”

Coaching is not covered by insurance companies at this point, nor show signs of that happening.

Yoga

DID YOU KNOW, the asana poses only make up an 1/8th of what yoga entails.

Yoga can be done off the mat and is not about being flexible or able to do inversions. It's more of a moving meditation, a time for yourself to get to know your mind & body. Flexibility and strength will come in time.

Yoga sessions are tailored to each individual. We can focus on a particular emotion, body part, pace, and/or type of flow, which is all up to YOU.

Herbal

Basic plants we use or see can be medicine for something in our lives. There is usually a plant that can substitute as an equal or better alternative. Most pharmaceuticals are made to replicate what a plant can do for us. For some, an herbal add on can make a difference in how well the pharmaceuticals perform as well as deal with the possible side effects it brings
